Myopia (Nearsightedness) Control

Myopia or nearsightedness is a condition in which the eye does not see clearly at distance.  When an eye becomes myopic, it commonly elongates causing the retina at the back of the eye to become thin and more susceptible to tearing and detachment.

Aside from the serious eye health risks and vision-disabling effects of myopia, there is also the need for more frequent eyeglass changes, contact lenses and potential refractive surgery associated with the development of significant degrees of myopia.
