Comfortable and User-friendly Near Vision Correction

Unlike a distance vision correction, a comfortable and user-friendly near vision correction requires intimate knowledge of your eyes accommodative flexibility as well as a precise understanding of your occupational environment.  At WESTWOOD EYE DOCTORS, one of our strengths is that we spend time to ensure that your near vision correction is not only clear, but also comfortable for the tasks you need to do.

Our lab at WESTWOOD EYE DOCTORS has the latest in computerized 3D lens tracing and edging equipment to provide you with high quality, precision prescription lenses while you wait. 

Ultraviolet Radiation Testing

Our lab has the latest equipment to accurately test your sunwear and your clear prescription eyewear for harmful UV transmission. 

At WESTWOOD EYE DOCTORS, we carry a complete line of quality sunglasses and frames from many suppliers including Oakley, Maui Jim, Kate Spade, Adidas and RayBan.  For prescription sun lenses, we carry photochromic lenses such as Transitions for automatic darkening and lightening.  For extreme light conditions such as on the water or on snow or ice, we carry polarizing lenses in prescription and in non-prescription.  

UV Blocking Performance

To ensure that UV blocking performance of all prescription and fashion sunlenses are up to proper protective standards, our lab uses special testing equipment to measure UV radiation transmission.  We would be pleased to demonstrate the difference in performance of unprotected lenses versus protected lenses.

We provide conventional, disposable, high oxygen silicone-hydrogel disposable and daily disposable contact lenses. 

We also specialize in toric, rigid gas-permeable, alternating, monovision, keratoconic therapeutic and multifocal contact lenses.

Our contact lens pricing is equal to or lower than that of big box stores or online retailers.  At the same time, we provide the assurance of a contact lens fit determined by a doctor of optometry for clear, comfortable vision and for longterm eyelid and corneal health and safety.
